A Message from Mary McAleese

Mary McAleese
I am delighted to extend my good wishes to the members of the Women’s Irish Network. I would particularly like to pay tribute to the founder members of this wonderful organisation which provides a forum for Irish women in Britain to develop business relationships and contacts.
There is such a tremendous energy among Irish women at present that it gives me such pride and optimism for the future. We are fortunate to be living at a time when the range of opportunities open to women is greater than ever. A time when we can truly benefit from establishing links with each other and developing an effective business network.
I know from my own professional experience that having the opportunity to tap into a reservoir of knowledge and experience is invaluable and we should never underestimate the increasing importance of bonds and connections. This website which, in effect, is a celebration of the success of Irish women, will be of particular benefit to young Irish women seeking to establish their careers in Britain.
I would like to applaud the Women’s Irish Network for another of its core objectives – to raise funds for the Irish Youth Foundation. As a patron of this organisation I would like to assure you that your fundraising efforts are greatly appreciated and will contribute to efforts to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged young Irish people.
I commend all those who have contributed to and compiled this website and I wish you every success in the future.
