WIN Events

A Collective View: Female Entrepreneurship

We are delighted to welcome WIN members and their guests for an evening of networking and inspiration from a panel of Irish female entrepreneurs.

The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A; along with networking, wine and canapés during the evening.

Our distinguished panel will be chaired by Marina Donohoe of Enterprise Ireland; featuring guests Darina Allen, Founder of Ballymaloe Cookery School, Mary McKenna, leading STEM Entrepreneur and Angel Investor and Jayne Ronayne CEO and Co-Founder behind Talivest.

Darina Allen

Darina Allen established Ballymaloe Cookery School in 1983, and not only is she Ireland’s best-known cook, but a best-selling author as well, who was dubbed “The Julia Child of Ireland” by the San Francisco Chronicle.

A tireless ambassador for Irish food both at home and abroad, she also presented nine series of her cookery programme, *Simply Delicious*, on television in Ireland. Darina also helped launch the Ballymaloe Literary Festival of Food and Wine in 2013, which plays host to a stellar line up of chefs and writers.

Mary McKenna

Mary McKenna, MBE, co-founded successful Northern Irish e-learning company Learning Pool following a long public sector career and a spell as a Silicon Valley dot-commer.

She now invests in early-stage tech startups, is Entrepreneur in Residence at Catalyst in Belfast and was recently voted into the Maserati Top One hundred entrepreneurs currently disrupting the business world. (And, she was the 5th person in the UK to get a mobile phone! )

Jayne Ronayne

UCC graduate Jayne Ronayne is the CEO and Co-Founder behind Talivest, which helps companies rethink talent networks for today and tomorrow’s world. Talivest has offices in Dublin, Lisbon and New York and is backed by leading global investors.

Jayne has been featured as one of Ireland’s top 30 under 30 two years in a row and was previously an ambassador for the Sandbox Dublin community hub. Jayne is an active member within the start-up community globally and is on the board for Cork’s newest office hub ‘Republic of Work’.
