WIN Women at the Irish Embassy WIN and Irish Youth Foundation Annual Reception

Thank you to the Irish Youth Foundation (UK), the Irish Embassy and Ambassador O’Neill for hosting such a wonderful event and bringing together representatives from the collective charities for this very special celebration.

We are over the moon to announce that this year the Women’s Irish Network donated £25,000 as part of our ongoing partnership with the Irish Youth Foundation. We raise this money through memberships, kind donations and sponsorship from our members, so thank you to every single one of you for your ongoing support of both us and our friends at the Irish Youth Foundation.

We are very proud of our friend’s at ICAP for taking home the Quality Award for the outstanding work they do — providing accessible, culturally-sensitive therapy services to Irish migrants and people of Irish descent, living in the UK. This award is a much-deserved recognition of their important work.

We would also like to say thank you to our incredible chair Cecilia Gallagher, who is sadly stepping down after six amazing years leading WIN. We would like to send a huge thank you to Cecilia for the fun and passion she has brought over the past few years. We all know how hard Cecilia has worked on growing and evolving WIN during this time and we hope she’ll continue to be a part of WIN family for many years to come.

Angela Brady is the incoming Women's Irish Network chair for 2020 at the Irish Youth Foundation and WIN Annual Reception at the Irish Embassy December 2019.

We wish to extend a warm welcome to our incoming chair Angela Brady. For those of you who may not know Angela, she is an acclaimed architect, a television broadcaster and former chair of Women In Architecture who has received countless awards in both her professional and personal life. Angela will bring fresh perspectives on how we can continue to build on Cecilia’s development and growth of the network. We look forward to implementing these ideas in 2020.
